Character: Sheifa Li (AU)
Variation: CRAU from an old LJ RP (Econtra) and the PSL crossover that followed (Sphere/Vitaen)
About: In a world without the Clow Cards, the Li clan ruled the Asian underworld from their stronghold in Hong Kong. Yelan was a ruthless matriarch, training her own children to be cold-blooded killers, assassinating her own husband to seize control of the clan. Sheifa, the eldest of the children, was well on her way through Yelan’s life plan, but she had a spot spot for her little brother, Syaoran, and could never bring herself to kill, at least not on her own accord. All the trauma gave rise to her split personality, which called herself Brynhildr, after her assassin codename.
Several years later, in the thick of the Great Asian Civil War, Syaoran was sent on a mission to Tomoeda, Japan. His target: Fujitaka Kinomoto, a professor-turned-soldier who was at the verge of exposing a government scandal involving a biological weapon. That was how he met Sakura, who he eventually fell in love with, and when he returned to Hong Kong he confided to Sheifa that he wanted out. Sheifa began helping the lovers — delivering messages, covering up their tracks, plotting their escape.
Syaoran and Sakura finally attempted to flee Hong Kong, intending to seek sanctuary with a distant relative in London. But Yelan found out about the plan and sent Sheifa to kill them both. Sheifa, realizing that she would never be able to get away from the clan, decided to turn on Syaoran so that he would kill her, and that way set her free.
But she didn’t die. She was pulled into Econtra, a military camp on a dying Earth in a universe ravaged by alien beings of pure energy called Entropi. A resistance force had been set up, taking people from across dimensions to make an army out of them, and once they’d won, they would be returned to their worlds, or to worlds of their choosing. While there she met and fell in love with (and even married, thanks to the shenanigans of her best friend, Selphie) Albel Nox, a soldier from a planet called Elicoor II, and after the war with the Entropi, she followed him to his world.
On Elicoor, she became Cecilia Fermina, estranged niece of Count Woltar, captain of the Storm Brigade and lord of Kirlsa. It was necessary for her to “become” a noblewoman as Albel turned out to be a very important person in the very political kingdom of Airyglyph, and it was something she struggled with for quite a while.
She would eventually formally get married, become a duchess, serve in the Queen’s Guard, have three lovely children. But before that, sometime during those first crazy years in her new crazy world, she somehow ended up spending time in a farm.
